Local Placement Manager – Bangkok

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Duration: Full-time

Application Deadline: 10th September

Start Date: 5th October

The Role

Combine your business development expertise with a passion for international education as the Local Placement Manager for Bangkok. In this unique cross-functional role, you will take full commercial ownership of building, managing, and sustaining a high-performing city placement ecosystem, while also managing custom university programs across Asia. At its heart, this role combines placement execution, business development, relationship management, and operational logistics. You are the dedicated, full-year owner of Bangkok's placement delivery and local employer ecosystem, responsible for consistently securing high-quality internship matches that align with program demand and student goals.

Reporting to Regional Placement Leadership, you will drive the front-end sales pipeline during the sourcing season and transition into a relationship manager to ensure outstanding, sustainable outcomes. During peak placement cycles, you will also direct and prioritize the daily work of a local Internship Placement Coordinator (IPC Intern) to support administrative execution and student mock interviews, while retaining decision-making power over employer partnerships.

  • Target Strategic and Global Opportunities: Spot local market trends, corporate demand signals, and nationality-specific business communities in Bangkok, sharing insights with Regional Placement Leadership.

  • Develop Low-Season Collaborations: Re-engage previous employer partners between August and November to secure forward placement commitments. Source and develop Remote Project Studio (RPS) projects with new companies during low-season cycles.

  • Nurture and Retain Corporate Partners: Strategically leverage off-peak cycles to strengthen long-term corporate retention and expand placement capacity across Bangkok.

  • Maintain CRM and Data Integrity: Maintain exemplary CRM standards and data integrity in HubSpot, tracking pipeline health, conversion, forecasting accuracy, and corporate account tagging.

Student Placement & Relationship Responsibilities:

  • Execute High-Quality Placement Matching: Manage end-to-end matching, pairing international students with Bangkok host companies to maximize placement quality, student readiness, and conversion.

  • Direct Seasonal Support: Direct, mentor, and prioritize the daily work of a local Internship Placement Coordinator (IPC Intern) from December to May, ensuring administrative tasks are completed to high standards.

  • Manage Custom Programs Operations (Asia Region): Own the lifecycle of custom university programs across Asia (focusing on Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Bangkok, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam). Meet with university partners, design itineraries, and manage logistics including accommodation, transportation, classrooms, and site visits.

  • Student Admin & Pre-Departure: Collect health and dietary data, deliver pre-departure webinars, and distribute final itineraries. Recruit, onboard, and train on-site coordinators to lead student groups on the ground.

  • Financial & Quality Control: Maintain precise records of operational budgets, vendor payments, and itineraries, continuously improving regional operations through participant feedback.
